CCGA Empowers the skills of Career Counsellors through online training.

Due to the recent G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam, the need for professional counsellors has increased. Our Association acted as a responsible party for years who successively implants professional guidance to the students for select A/L subjects with a correct analysis.


As the lead association in the country for career guidance, we had planned to increase counsellors' skills through online training. With a proper demonstration of the streams in the Advance Level and the subjects that can be chosen within the circle as well as out of the circle. 

The training was held on 9th June 2022. The training was free for the members of the CCGA. Also, open to career guidance professionals, who use 'Career Key' as the analysing tool for guidance. Also, we never forget to show our gratitude to Mr Viraj Abhayasinghe, Career Counsellor - University of Kelaniya, for joining as a key trainer for the session and to Mr Ajith Jayawardhana, Chairman-NDC, for guiding us to bring the session to its' best.

The Association is planning to conduct several pieces of training to enhance the skills of professional counsellors around the country. Any programme that would be conducted by the CCGA, shall be posted on our social media pages too.

CCGA runs the duty in EDEX as the strategic partner

The EDEX career fair 2022 has been held on 26-27 March 2022 at Royal College. As always many of the school leavers who intend to find out their career in further education academic or vocational and looking for join the workforce with a suitable career path had arrived at the Career Fair. This time the EDEX fair has been held in a hybrid way so, the participants did join the sessions and events virtually and physically both. The organizing committee says that over 2,000 people joined physically and around 5,000 people joined virtually. Since they have conducted the hybrid method for the first time, they say that this is a good outcome under the situation of the country. Also, they mentioned the mid-year fair would not be held this time. Around fifty professional career counsellors joined the Career Fair and provided guidance and counselling to the seekers who are looking for a correct path on the climbing ladder of a career.
